The Do's The Don'ts and the Must Know's
Facials & Peels
- Arriving with clean skin is best but not necessary. Your skin will be cleansed thoroughly before the treatment.
- You should discontinue use of retinol, AHA’s, BHA’s (like glycolic acid, salicylic acid) or other stronger exfoliants at least 48 hours before your appointment.
- Do not wax the facial skin at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- No sunbathing or tanning beds 24 hours before your appointment. We can not perform a facial or peel on sunburned or windburned skin.
- You should be at least 7 days post Botox, filler, etc. before receiving a facial or peel.
- You cannot receive a peel if you are using certain medications. You should wait at least 5 days after completing a course of antibiotics before receiving a peel. You must be at least 6 months post Accutane treatment to receive a facial or peel.
- Do not do physical activity, sauna or anything that would get you heated after a peel. No sweating or prolonged direct sunlight for 48 hours post peel.
- Do let us know if you have a big event coming up in the next week post-appointment.
- Do bring a list of skincare products you are using so we know what ingredients you are using on your skin.
- Help keep the results of your treatment by practicing a good skincare routine after your appointment and beyond.
Waxing
- Hair growth needs to be ¼ inch long for the wax to adhere to the hair for bikini and Brazilian waxes.
- Do not use retinol, Tretinoin or any other retinoid near the eye area 7 days prior to brow wax. Do not use anywhere on the face if waxing other areas.
Lash Lifts
- Arrive at your appointment with clean lashes, no mascara. Be sure all waterproof mascara is completely removed.
- Be prepared to not get your lashes wet for 24 hours post appointment to ensure best results.
